Users & Students
Account & LoginI changed school districts. How do I access my old certificates?
Contact Academity support and provide the email previously used plus your current email. The normal resolution is to update the email on the existing account and send a password-reset request so the certificate history remains attached.
Account & LoginThe site says my email is already in use. What should I do?
Do not create another account. Use password reset or the district-approved Google sign-in option. If neither works, ask support to locate and reset the existing account.
Account & LoginCan two Academity accounts be merged?
Historical support messages state that accounts cannot reliably be merged. Support can help identify where certificates are stored and select or update the primary account.
Account & LoginMy district uses Google login. How do I sign in?
On the Academity login screen, select the Google icon and use the district Google account used during registration. Some districts require this method instead of a separate Academity password.
EnrollmentWhy is Academity asking me to pay when my district already paid?
You are likely outside the district enrollment path. Return to the exact link or instructions provided by the district. That path contains the group entitlement or code that removes the charge and assigns the right courses.
EnrollmentCan I use an account I created before my district subscribed?
Usually yes. Sign in to the existing account, then use the district's direct enrollment link or code so the account joins the correct district group.
EnrollmentWhy do I not see any available courses?
Check that you entered through the current district link, signed in with the correct account, and that the course has reached its opening date. Districts may also limit the visible course menu.
Course RequirementsHow many hours do I need for initial G/T training?
Academity's foundational pathway is organized as five 6-hour courses, totaling 30 hours. Your district determines which courses it accepts and whether a permitted substitution is used.
Course RequirementsWill I receive one 30-hour certificate?
The established Academity practice is generally five separate 6-hour certificates rather than one consolidated 30-hour certificate. Submit all required certificates according to district procedures.
Course RequirementsAre update courses 3 or 6 hours?
Both formats exist. The current catalog includes 3-hour, 6-hour, and a few courses available in either format. Use the exact course version assigned by your district.
Course RequirementsWhich Nature & Needs course should I take as an administrator or counselor?
Nature & Needs includes role-appropriate modules for teachers, administrators, and counselors, but districts may provide a specific link or version. Use the district instructions and verify with the coordinator if the audience is unclear.
Course RequirementsCan I reuse the same capstone or lesson plan in two courses?
Do not assume that one submission satisfies two courses. Each course may require evidence tied to its own objectives. Ask support before reusing work and be prepared to submit a distinct application for each course.
AssignmentsHow long does assignment approval take?
The documented service standard is within 24 hours. Once the assignment is approved and all course pages are complete, the certificate should generate automatically.
AssignmentsMy assignment will not upload. What should I try?
Save the document as a PDF and upload that version. Keep the course window open until the upload completes. A valid submission is required before credit can be approved.
AssignmentsI uploaded the wrong file. Can I replace it?
Contact support immediately with the course name and explain that the submission is under review. Replacement options depend on its review status; do not submit duplicate work unless instructed.
AssignmentsThe course says my project is under review and I cannot continue. What does that mean?
A prerequisite is waiting for approval. Allow the normal review window, then refresh the course. After approval, complete any remaining pages so progress reaches 100%.
Completion & CertificatesMy assignment was approved, but I still do not have a certificate. Why?
Approval alone may leave the course below 100%. Reopen the course and make sure every page is viewed and marked complete, including role-specific pages that may only need to be viewed. Then check My Certificates again.
Completion & CertificatesWhere do I download my certificate?
Go to academity.org/enrollments, sign in, and select My Certificates from the left menu. Open the desired certificate to view or download it.
Completion & CertificatesWho records my credit with the district?
Academity issues the course certificate and may provide completion rosters where contracted. The educator must follow the district's local submission or credit-posting process, which may involve the G/T coordinator or professional-learning system.
Completion & CertificatesCan I use the same certificate after changing districts?
The certificate remains evidence of the completed Academity course, but the new district decides whether and how it accepts the credit. Support can update your account email so you can retrieve it.
TroubleshootingMy course is stuck below 100%. What should I check?
Open the course outline, revisit every lesson, scroll through required content, and mark each page complete. The last few percentage points commonly represent one or two unviewed pages.
TroubleshootingA video, download, or external resource is broken. What should I do?
Record the course, module, lesson, and exact error. Try Google Chrome, clear the browser cache, or use another device. Report the issue if it persists so the resource can be repaired or an alternate link provided.
DeadlinesDo Academity courses close on my district's deadline?
District deadlines and platform availability are not always the same. Some historical courses remained open beyond a district deadline, while current courses may have opening dates or curated windows. Follow the active district instructions and ask before assuming access will continue.
Districts
OnboardingHow quickly can a district subscription be activated?
The documented 2026 practice is that activation can occur upon receipt of the purchase order, assuming the agreement and setup details are complete. Confirm the exact start date during onboarding.
OnboardingWhat does Academity need from the district before launch?
Confirm the subscription scope, course menu, desired start date, learner audience, login approach, coordinator contacts, reporting access, and business-office requirements. Provide the purchase order and any vendor documents required by the district.
OnboardingIs coordinator training available?
Yes. Emails show Academity offering a short Zoom walkthrough for coordinators or administrators, supported by a one-page district access guide.
ProcurementWhat purchasing documents can Academity provide?
Email history includes quotes or estimates, invoices, W-9s, vendor packets, insurance documentation, EFT forms, bid responses, and RFP materials. Requirements vary by district.
PricingWhere can I find current pricing?
Request a current quote. Historical emails include district-specific estimates and negotiated discounts, so old prices should not be reused as a general rate card.
Access ModelCan our district offer all courses or only selected courses?
Either model is supported. Districts can give broad access or limit staff to a curated set. Confirm foundational requirements, update options, and audience-specific courses before configuration.
Access ModelHow do teachers enroll without paying?
Distribute the district-specific enrollment link or approved code exactly as provided. Generic catalog links may not place users in the district group and can show a paywall.
Access ModelCan the district use Google single sign-on?
Some districts use district Google credentials through the Google icon on the login screen. Availability and exact configuration are district-specific and should be confirmed during setup.
Course DesignCan Depth & Complexity be part of the foundational 30 hours?
The current catalog states that Introduction to Depth & Complexity may substitute for one foundational course at district request.
Course DesignAre there courses appropriate for counselors and administrators?
Yes. Nature & Needs includes role-specific modules, and the catalog recommends selected courses such as The Excellence Gap, Twice-Exceptional Learners, Overcoming Challenges, and Vertical Differentiation for these audiences.
ReportingCan district administrators see completion records?
Yes, reporting has been provided through district-specific shared documents or spreadsheets, including historical data. Access and refresh cadence are configured per district.
ReportingCan we access records for former employees?
District administrators can request historical completion records. Learners who changed districts may also recover certificates by updating the email on their existing Academity account.
ReportingHow often are district reports updated?
At least one district email refers to a Google Sheet updated daily, but cadence is configuration-specific. Confirm the active report source and refresh schedule for your district.
Credit & ComplianceDoes Academity determine whether a course meets district requirements?
Academity supplies course descriptions, hours, strands, and certificates. The district determines local acceptance, assignment to the 30-hour pathway or update requirement, and the internal credit-posting process.
Credit & ComplianceHow is the 30-hour pathway documented?
The standard pathway consists of five 6-hour foundational course certificates. Districts should maintain a roster or completion report and communicate whether staff must upload individual certificates into a local system.
AssignmentsWhat grading turnaround should we communicate?
Communicate a normal review target of within 24 hours. Ask staff not to wait until the final deadline, because a valid submission and full page completion are both required before the certificate appears.
SupportWhat information should a coordinator include in an escalation?
Include learner name, account email, district, course title, progress percentage, assignment status, exact error, screenshot if useful, and the deadline. For historical records, add prior email and approximate completion date.
SupportWhat should we do if several users cannot upload assignments?
Treat it as a possible platform or course configuration issue. Collect course/module details, screenshots, file types, and affected users; have one learner try a PDF; then escalate the group issue to Academity.
RenewalWhat should be reviewed before renewal?
Review term dates, course menu, staff count or access scope, login method, report viewers, historical-data needs, support trends, procurement lead time, and any courses that should be added, removed, or updated.
